Wireless Sound Sending

Go to solution Solved by SuperOwnJK,

Figured it out!

Installed Shairport4w on desktop to use an an airplay receiver (http://sourceforge.net/projects/shairport4w/)

Macbook detects it has an audio output device.

Have an odd issue, wondered if anyone knows of any software that could help.

I want to play music from my Macbook Air to some speakers in another room wirelessly. The speakers have a 3.5mm jack on them. I have a Windows Desktop that could be used to bridge the music.

My first idea was to play the music on the desktop using Google Music All Access through Chrome, and use remote desktop on my Macbook to control it, but the Desktop is a bit shit and sometimes the audio breaks up.

So what I'm after is a piece of software that sends the audio from my Macbook, to the Desktop over the LAN....if any exists. It must be cross platform too of course.

PLEX server should do the trick. It's free.

https://plex.tv/

But would it be able to take my audio from my Macbook, and play it through the Desktop?

Or would the Plex Application play the music just on the desktop?
