Hi everyone.

So i recently decided to upgrade my case cooling and bought a few new 12cm fans and a chinese brandless fan hub. The fan hub comes with 2 settings (physical switch): high and low fan speed.

The weird thing is i can turn on my computer with the high fan speed mode only.

It wouldnt turn on if i leave the fan hub at the low fan speed mode. My pc sorts of turns on for 1 sec and blacks out immediately. I need to physically off and on the power switch for the pc for the high fan speed mode to work again.

Any expert here knows whats happening?

Maybe the low setting causes a shortage? From what I understand, it has to be something like the new Ryzen stock cooler

<---- This little thing here is a low/high switch

Yea i thought so too. But i dont really understand why switching it back to the low setting worked after turning on my pc.

did you try different fans on the fanhub and check that if one of the fans is bad and causes issues

Yea i did. At first i thought 3 fans were too much for the fan hub so i slowly reduced the number and also tried every fan individually.

The problem persisted.

mh the only thing I can imagine is either the fanhub has a shortage or something along those lines and your pc doesnt start so it doesnt harm other components or it just has a bad connection and cant deliver the needed power

Yea maybe thats why. I guess either way there is nothing much i can do, i will just have to get a new one.

Thanks for your help!
