I asked this previously, but my question has changed a bit now.

Is there something wrong with this PC (besides it being on BestBuy of course ;) )

https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/acer-predator-g3-gaming-pc-intel-ci7-7700-1tb-hdd-512gb-ssd-16gb-ram-nvidia-gtx-1080-win-10-eng/12453030.aspx?

GTX 1080, DDR4 ram, 512GB SSD. The only downside I see is the future replacement of an i7-7700 in a few years to main ultra levels (breaks the warranty sticker and need new motherboard) and the 500W supply.

If I were to buy the parts on Memory Express/New Egg, the total is about $1980 (with better ram and SSD), but still, for $1699.99, this is a steal... right? I looked at a few images of the inside, and although it looks pretty sad compared to today, it does work. The model is about 1.5years old at this point.

So my question: Why so cheap? Are you PC enthusiasts able to see something I can't? Should I get this before the sale ends!?

Any information would be lovely.

- Pretty much top of the line atm

Why so cheap?

Because it has a 7th generation Intel CPU which are not that powerful compared to Coffee Lake CPUs
