My system is in my profile, and current.

I have a couple of clues as to what is happening, but I'm not entirely sure - and may just be in denial about the whole thing.

OP is as clear cut as it gets. The issue originally started when I had two 760s (about 2 years ago) in SLI, since then I have moved to a 1060. This leaves the ram, board, or psu and cpu as possible culprit.  I do not have spare parts to swap, so I'm basically trying to get help from someone more knowledgeable than me, and I'm sure I'll find that here.

I've downclocked, and overclocked on this i7920 (that's right). At times during it's life it's sat through 4ghz overlocks, 3.5, and 3.2. Currently it's at it's out of the box clocks. Originally the issue only revealed itself during Overwatch. Literally, only fucking Overwatch. Now it has done it in almost all the games I play, and for the first time ever it did it on Youtube yesterday. Sometimes I can go a week without it happening, sometimes it'll happen half a dozen times in a day. I'm lost, and I'm pretty sure it's the CPU finally giving up. Is there a surefast way to one by one eliminate the issue? Because no bsod and no error messages popping up are blocking the hell out of my troubleshooting process.

What PSU is it?  Without a lot of info, sounds like a PSU fault being triggered and it's shutting down to avoid damage.  No idea what happens when I CPU starts dying, never had one fail on me.  PSU failure, yes.

My money is on the PSU as well.

May or may not be relevant, but I had a few EVGA P2's fail and this fit the most symptons..

Thanks guys. Ill try an Rma on the psu. I mean, I thought it could be, but I wasn't entirely sure. Also this is worth mentioning, but once in a blue moon it will bsod, during gaming, typically Overwatch  as usual.

I hope its the Psu, considering Ocing my i7920 and upgrading around it for the last 10 years has worked. Im able to max out at 1080p in all games when the 920 sits at 4.5ghz. I dont feel comfortable leaving it there with this happening randomly.

So its worth adding it happens with eco on and off.
