Benq xl2720T not functioning

Hi, I recently purchased a Benq xl2720T and upon connecting it via a dvi-d cable to my 1070 i recieved the on screen error of 'No Cable Connected' and then the screen went black. Now in windows display settings and also DisplayFusion I can see a second monitor connected yet my screen refuses to display any image and also the bezel LEDs refuse to light up
