Graphics card and pc help?

I'm looking for a cheap gaming pc build. This is a cheap pc and GPU I found. I just want to double check if this pc and GPU even works together. Thank you!

That card will not fit in the case, it's too high profile. You'd want something more low-profile such as this: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIAE8D6Z63114&cm_re=low_profile_video_card_pci_express_x16-_-9SIAE8D6Z63114-_-Product

 

What's your max budget? You'd probably be better off just building a PC.

will I need a new power supply?

The tower is fine, although those HP SFF units tend to be funny when it comes to power over PCIe. make sure  your graphics card uses less than the 75W that PCIe is specced for just incase.

 

I'd reccomend a GT 1030 over the 730 all day.

 

I'd reccomend a GTX 1050 low priofile too, but i know those HP SFF PCs can be weird about power.

 

If you get the GT 1030 or GT 730, you wont need to upgrade the power supply.

 

Also, you can get mid/mini tower PC's that will fit much larger graphics cards for considerably less than $200

so it will work with the low-profile bracket? and it will fit the case?

It should work and will fit yes, but if you don't mind the PC being a refurbished, I strongly suggest the following combo as an alternative

 

The CPU is a generation older but the difference in performance will be negligible compared to $100 price difference.

 

The graphics card is like 3 times better. not even joking.

 

You'll probably also want to pick up some more DDR3 since this comes with just 2 GB You can get 2x4GB (8gb) for $50 or so if you hunt a little.

Just dont get a single 8 gb stick. The chipset probably wont like it. Or just toss a 4GB stick alongside the existing 2GB for $30 or so. (6GB total)
