Your system will never allow you to disable this as it is a way to verify that a primary component doesn't have an issue. If you're experiencing any issues/errors then you need to ensure that you have the 2 power connectors (1 for the fan(s) and 1 for the pump) properly connected to the board per the instructions listed in the manual for your H100i. This will solve any issues you may have. I personally have fan setting to full speed for maximum cooling since I like to OC a decent bit.

I am not getting any errors but I am wanting to change the group so that my fan curve will scale to my CPU temp and not the pump temp, but apparently to do this  you need to disable your CPU fan header.

The CPU fan header should be the one your pump is connected to if I recall correctly. That header is controlled entirely by the boards thermal reading/reporting of your CPU and nothing else. The fans connected to your rad should be (in my opinion) connected to your power supply connectors (via an adapter if necessary) so that they keep the rad and therefore the CPU as cool as possible.

The only way you can really "Disable" the header is to Disable monitoring within your BIOS, you can't disable the header itself.
