I have an old Phenom X4 9500 that i have and want to get a good overclocking motherboard. What should I use? It needs to be 790X or some other overclockable chipset, with good VRMs so I can push this processor as far as possible.

Asus boards tend to be pretty good, as do Asrock's.

True, though, ASRock and Asus boards are great for overclocking.

any specific ones?

I haven't done a lot of looking into their 790X boards, but anything midrange to higher end will do the trick.
