Hey guys, I've been using a PC I built for about a year now running off of a Samsung Evo 500GB SSD. However, my storage is running low so I'm thinking about buying a second drive.

My question is, if I were to do so, how would I configure the two? Do I leave the boot drive empty and transfer everything over to the new drive?

Have a great day!

I would leave the apps on the boot drive and transfer your data over to the new hard drive. That's how I use my computer.

Office: Workstation (AMD 3900X, RX5700XT, 32GB) Headphones (Cambridge DacMagic+ > Schiit Lyr 3 > DT 990. 2 Sonos One in Stereo) Display (32-inch Gigabyte)

You actually are stumbling into what is the preferred approach: You've got your OS and important apps on the SSD, that's where you want them since SSD is king for performance and load-time, so what you would do is just add on the extra storage and put stuff you don't care about loading as fast on that. If you need info on the actual process for how to do it (initializing, formatting, etc), then here you go:
