I got something similar to the C24F390 (27" 1080p 60hz curved VA from Samsung) two years ago and it was a good value. It had decent/good (definitely not bad but not noteworthy) colour and handled motion well. I liked it and still use it. I'm not sure how much Samsung's VA panels have changed within these 2 years but I assume thats it been mostly got the better.

It's also worth noting that there's a 144hz model (which is only note-worthy if you plan on any gaming on this monitor) and an IPS model (better colours, I assume) from Samsung.
