Deciding Between Motherboards

I currently have an Asus Maximus IX Hero Motherboard with an I7-7700k, and I'm wanting to upgrade to an 8700k. Currently I'm deciding between the Asus Maximus X Hero or the Gigabyte Gaming 7 with a small possibility of considering the Asus Maximus X Code. Between the Hero and the Gaming 7 which would be best, and would it be worth it getting the Code? I don't do serious overclocking, but like keeping my 7700k at 5ghz. Also I have a Gigabyte GPU so would my RGB integration be better going with a Gigabyte motherboard as well? I have all my RGB Corsair, and the only 2 components that aren't in sync is my motherboard and GPU so if I can get everything to sync properly that would be a huge selling point as well. Thank you for any advice.
