Torrents are notorious for slowing down HDDs. Are you perhaps torrenting and gaming on the same HDD?

Nope, torrents are downloaded in the old HDD and Tixati is installed in Program Files. Btw, game updates slow the PC much more than torrenting

Id say its your processor, unless your just surfing the web or playing one single in lower graphics a i5 isn't enough I had a i5 7600k and when I wanted to do more the computer would get slow very slow, like download things while continuing to do other things, also I have a gtx 1060 6gb oc graphics card.  if I were you id suggest buying what ever i7 ur computer can take. it will make a monster difference. it really did for me I got a i7 7700k shortly after because I didn't want my new build to be hampered by that and I will never buy anything but a i7 for now on

It's not downloading while doing other things, it's just the game updating, I have even tried stopping some useless tasks but it doesn't seem to work, guess I'll have to earn some money for a new processor :/
