Hey guys, So it's my first time building my own PC. Iv had experience repairing PCs and other devices before but building my own for the first time. Basically, its going to be my Gaming PC and I'm gonna be doing some side work with it; Mainly, Adobe Premiere & Photoshop as well as managing/building a few websites.

Give me your opinions, all are welcome.
Here are my components :

[Bought Already] CPU : i7 7700k

[Bought Already] Motherboard : MSI Z270 Gaming M5

[Undecided] Memory : 16GB(2x8gb) TridentZ RBG DDR4-3200mhz

[Undecided] Graphics Card : ASUS Dual GeForce GTX 1050 Ti OR ASUS GeForce GTX 1050 Ti ROG STRIX OC
UPDATE: I will run integrated graphics till i am able to get a GTX 1080 or if the GTX 20 series is out by then i will just go for that, so one high end card.

[Bought Already] CPU Case/Tower : Thermalake Versa N21 Snow

[Undecided, not sure if ill need 550w or 650w yet] PSU : EVGA SuperNova G3 650w 80+ Gold Fully Modular PSU
UPDATE : I am confused as to wattage, i am currently aiming for a 650w 80+ gold g3 but im not sure if a bronze 650w or 550w would suffice, want this PSU to be able to keep up when the GPU comes in

Storage : Samsung 850 Evo 500gb 2.5inch Sata III SSD(boot/main drive) & 7.2k RPM 1tb HDD(just general storage for old stuff or whatever I'm not using every day etc or backups of files)

UPDATE: I might get an m.2 500gb or 240gb with a 1tb hdd for general storage and the m.2 for boot drive and other important/immediately relevant files

Cooling : Completely undecided but for CPU i guess this - Cooler Master Hyper 212 LED
Considering liquid CPU cooling and ill get a couple single fans for the case when i receive it (today) and i will decide how many i need etc

Monitor : Sceptre C 32-Inch Screen LED-lit Monitor (C325W-1920R) x1 [Will definitely get a second and possible a third NON curved screen for the center display later on]
UPDATE : It was brought to my attention this monitor having 60hz refresh and 1080p would not look very good at 32inch but already bought and reciecing it on the 5th so i will bare with it, but if you could recommend a decently priced high quality (preferabbly curved) monitor i would greatly appreciate.

I am deciding on what to buy etc, this is my idea of what I'm going for
If you think something would work better with this or make it more efficient etc please let me know. Also im hoping to upgrade my GPU later, I'm starting off with a 1050 and may buy a 1080 later on, and just use two GPUs working together, the 1050 and 1080 if its possible to like use SLI with two different cards like that. if not 1080 main card and done with that haha
Also going to get another set of 16gb ram so ill end up with 32gb later on

Gaming mouse/keyboard to be bought later on, isnt that serious right now and i might get a wlan card later. Will start with a wired connection

I also want the OPTION to overclock. I bought the Z270 and the unlocked 7700k for that purpose, i will not be doing it right away but later on i would like the option to attempt it later. just so you know. Also keep this in mind with the PSU options etc.

So, What do you guys think?

Its more a gaming-centric rig then a production machine. It will do everything you want to, but its performance will show in gaming, not as much in productivity.

I would rather agree on what we share, than fight on what we don't. - Myself

Well, i would prefer a good balance of both. Lets say if its performance on gaming is 100%, id like it to have atleast a 75% relative performance on production. ideally 100% / 100% but 100% / 75% is fine. What do you think from what i got so far? Preferably id like advice on the GPU as well, i dont want to spend too much on it. My first idea was to buy a 1050 ti and then upgrade later on, but i as advised that i should just stick to integrated graphics and then just go for the upgrade one time instead of a two step upgrade.

For that, I would have gone with a Ryzen system, due to the fact that what you seem do be doing on a more professional level would have more resources it could benefit from. Intel is still king when it comes to gaming, but Ryzen rocks the productivity.

I would go with the G3 due to (typically) better components inside, and what will probably be a longer warranty. I like to go a little overkill on the wattage, so I'd say go with the 650W, especially if you plan on overclocking.

Personally, I would stick with the SATA drive, but that is just me. I may also suggest going with a slightly higher capacity HDD (like a 2-3TB) being as they aren't that much more expensive.

Going back to what I said earlier, Ryzen is still great for gaming, but I also understand that you did already buy the components. Intel's IGPU has been rather lackluster for as long as I remember. I would say get a used GPU or a cheep one that can run the games you want. For the time being, it will be your bottle neck, but it will get you a lot better then the integrated graphics. Plus, that gives you an extra line of defense should your higher end card need to get RMAd

get a 6gb 1060 and trade up to a 1080 on craiglist if you are comfortable doing so.  May cost 50 bucks more in the long run, but you will be able to game in the interim,  also a 1080 is not required for 1080p gaming at all.

Good choice of RAM, that trident kit is often on sale and you can upgrade to 32gb down the road if you get more into video production (16gb is plenty for gaming... for now at least).

Don't over think the PSU, make sure its at least 650 80+ cert (gold doesn't really matter, I mean are you paying the electricity bills?

I would say more wattage and fewer cables, don't fret about efficiency, the extra cost will take a while to be recouped in energy savings.

I have a very similar machine except with a z170 board from Gigabyte.  I have the 7700k clocked at 5ghz very easily (well I delidded it and have a good AIO, but still it's a great chip.  Also, the machine is a Hackintosh, but I'm always in Windows for gaming.

Have fun and I would say don't wait to get the greatest GPU if it prevents you from using the machine now.

Thank you guys, really helpful. I appreciate it.
What iv decided on, is getting either a used GPU or getting a 1050 ti. I will upgrade later on as needed, and for the PSU i will go with 650w 80+, will look for a nicely priced efficient one. In addition to this, i will also get a SATA drive due to the price being cheaper than the m.2.

I was looking into the ryzen cards, but i got the i7 7700k durign black friday sales at microcenter bundled with the mobo for a really good deal. So, just went with it. I am also kind of an intel fan. I will be primarily gaming, not really primarily production. So therefore i guess it fits. If i ever get more into production tho, i know exactly what CPU route to take. Thank you!
Will keep you guys updated on build progress. Hoping to get this fully built by January 2018. Giving it a month to research parts, get anything together and all. Thanks so much, will continue to monitor post for any additional advice. All advice welcomed!
