CPU or HDD slow?

Go to solution Solved by TheGlenlivet,

If you like the Laptop then buy an SSD and either clone the HDD to it or install windows fresh on it and migrate what you need to it from the HDD.  Then crack open the Laptop and install the SSD as the boot drive.  The difference in speed will be BIG.

You will need a SATA to USB cable to make that all work too.

My laptop has been slowwww. In simple terms, laptop = slow (slow in terms of windows explorer opening files) I don't know if its my cpu thats slow or my HDD that needs changing laptop it 2 years old since christmas 2015.

Specs:

AMD A8-6410 apu

8 g ram

What I'm asking is if my HDD benchmarks look normal (I used crystaldisk bench mark) the HDD is 5400rpm

its probably the hdd since its for a laptop and for "powersaving", usually they are slower than usual so it takes 10 secs to open a file... If your cpu is old and crappy it might affect a little bit but usually is your hard drive

Remember to quote me (or someone else), otherwise we won't going to recieve your answers...
