Davinci Resolve 14 crashing

Resolve goes through its opening right, then takes me to the select a project screen, where, when I select one and hit open, it closes as it should but then never reopens. The task isn't running.

 

Hardware:

HP Spectre x360 15t

Intel Core i7 6500u

16GB of ram

256 GB PCIe SSD

it's most likely your GPU, resolve all relies on your GPU. It could also be your using a dual-core

Just got this laptop. I have seen it work on an AMD dual core, although that probably dosent really apply much here.

ya amd's are APU's which have really good integrated graphics
