I've had this 120gb PNY SSD for about two years now, and it suddenly quit working when I was using my computer. Windows gave me a error message with a sad face telling me that "Your PC ran into a problem that it couldn't handle, and now it needs to restart". Now my motherboard will not recognize the drive when powered on, worst part is that I don't remember the error code that it gives you at the start of the message.

Yeah it probably died. Get a new one and install Windows / restore from a backup. If there is mission critical data on there, have a look for data recovery services but the prices will be high.

The cheapest one I know of in the US is https://www.300dollardatarecovery.com/

I edit my posts a lot.

If different cable and SATA port don't help, there's not much you can do really.  It's rare, but SSDs do die.

A quick search reveal that PNY usually gives 3-5 years of warranty on their SSDs, so if it is indeed dead I'd suggest getting in touch with them.
