question on iphone number blocking system

you can send a blocked number a message, but when they send you a message the phone basically ignores it. if they call you it gets directed to voicemail and to a folder on the voicemail called "blocked" I think.

so under a persons contact you can press block caller on iPhone. i notice all messages and everything stay their when blocked. and it looks like you never blocked them.

 

im assuming just everything call or text the other person sends wont get revived by your phone. but if  you text or call them what will happen? will it say their blocked it just never send. or will it send but they wont see it? or will they get the message? (text not call)

 

is this blocking system different from calling your phone company and blocking the number?

it only blocks incoming calls and messages

but if you send a message will it be like you blocked this number. will it not send and have an error? like the red mark? do nothing? or will it deliver the message and you just cant revive the reply

why do you want to send a message to a blocked number in the first place? if i have to block somebody it means i am DONE with this person.

just a question. its not me asking I was asked it. I just dont own apple devices and the internet didnt help didnt look too deep tho.
