LDA 1060'S HELP

I am the person who wants to try LDA or MDA 1060's. Before you judge please don't. I am here to ask serious hardware questions to serious enthusiasts. Now, I have the cards but am wondering, do I need an sli equipped board or no? I assume I might to run both cards at 8x but am not sure. Thank you for your legitimate help!
