Da Vinci Resolve Beta issues

Hey guys i've been messing around with Da Vinci resolve 14 beta. 
Does anyone have any tricks or hints to stop it constantly crashing? Anything I do it hangs or crashes out. 
I love the layout and the design everything seems really simplistic to use for beginners but also having tonnes of features for when you become more advanced, but I just cant do anything I bring media into the program and it crashes 99% of the time.
Im using the latest version and its not my hardware. I hit the 'limit' for usage but I cant see myself paying money for something that hasn't worked yet. 

P.S. I understand its beta but when a video editor cant handle videos the signs are not good!
