So I was playing GTA 5, all is going fine when I get hit with a black screen. Monitor is still on and system is still running but can't see anything. Shut off system and reboot hoping that fixes the problem... But still not getting a signal. I am using a 1060 SSC paired with a r5 1400. No image also comes from plugging straight into the motherboard for no board graphics (Even though I do not believe the 1400 has onboard). Tested the HDMI cable and it works fine with game system, but not the pc. I've had the build for less than a week and am just hoping something didn't die.

You mean that after reboot it isn't posting or do you mean your not getting an image but it stills posts. If you haven't already I would take out your discrete graphics and try rebooting again.

I have no way to tell if it's posting... The system stays powered on like normal so I would assume yes?

If it is posting (I think that it staying on means it is) then it is probably a gpu problem given that there is no display. Try taking out your gpus first and then use onboard graphics to see if it displays anything. I had this same problem a while ago and that worked for me.

Ryzen doesn't have onboard graphics...
