Issues when reinstaling steam

So im trying to reinstal steam on my pc after not having it installed for about a month, and im getting an error saying  destination folder must be empty, so when i go to said folder and try to delete it, it says it needs admin permisssion, yet, gives me no option to choose, to accept it, im the only user of my pc, any idea how to fix this, im just trying to get steam to be installed so i can get player unknowns battle grounds.

Then you should be able to delete it. Is it the Program files(x86)/steam folder?

yes its that folder, that is giving me the problem, im trying to use your guide you posted now to delete it

im getting so lost trying to understand this guide and do  what it says,  this is alot above my understanding of how to use a computer.

It's just saying to check the box that applies it to every file in that folder. You should do that probably.

but in setp 4 it says to click on advanced, theres nothing in advanced like that?

O, you do that before in the previous window. That should have been before step four. Just a bad way of ordering it.

yeah this isnt working, this is way beyond my comprehension of how to use a computer

You were close if you had that open just type your user name in the blank box and click "check names" and click ok then you'll see that check box and that is almost the end.

i had tried that and it didnt work, so clearly im  not doing it right

Can you install steam in a different folder? I can't remember if it gives you the option.
