"Over Current on USB Device"

Something was shorting the ports on the bottom of the board even though it was sitting on cardboard... It's working now, just need to get it back in the case and hope it doesn't happen again

Looked online, only answers I could find to this error is to unplug the front USB header cables, which I did, and it did not solve the issue. 

Getting this specific error: "over current have been detected on your usb device!!

system will shutdown after 15 seconds to protect your mainboard!!"

PSU is a Sparkle 550w that came with the server case

visually inspect all your usb ports, externally and internally, it's usually a short inside the usb plug where the pins come loose.. my usual fix if its a usb on the case is to forcefully rip out the pins with needlenose pliers so it no longer shorts and no longer can be used, and tape over it. if its on the motherboard, you might be able to disable that usb port in the biosyou should also try to seperate any short you can see (pins touching eachother, pins touching the metal around the plug etc)

Have you tried to perform a sudden temporary interrupt of the electricity flow to your computational device followed by a re-initialization procedure of the central processing unit and associated components?
