Hey everyone im new to the forums but a long time watcher of LTT

Anyway i was hoping to get some help and feed back on a pretty low budget build.

I have a 1 TB HDD and an Evga nex 650 G psu from my old tower i had to part out for money a few months ago that i can use for the build

https://pcpartpicker.com/user/CLF4L/saved/X2VkLk

this is the build i have in mind, pentium g4560 + gtx 1050 low budget system

as for use, mostly gaming, web browsing music etc, no streaming or video editing.

Is this the best way to go or should i look into the used market?

Also any feedback on the g4560? Im afraid of using a dual core for gaming, my only pc i ever built had an i5 4670k. Ive done research and know i can go up to rx 480/gtx 1060 with the g4560

as far as games go i would be looking at playing

Age Of Empires 2

Rocket League

Overwatch

Tom Clancys Ghost Recon Wildlands

Nba 2k

Ark Survival evolved

Destiny 2

I know games like AOE 2 and rocket league can easily run and the destiny 2 requirements are not out yet.

Is the g4560 good enough, or will i suffer a lot of stuttering with it being a dual core? Also can i have discord and a game open or will i suffer there?

I dont currently have a computer so im trying to get a basic tower now and a gpu in a month or so.

As for budget id say $400, but keep in mind i have a PSU and HD. Also would plan to upgrade to an i5 down the road.

Thanks for any feedback/help, its much appreciated

Ok i believe that Destiny 2 wont be able to run off a Pentium, maybe a 1050.. The 1050 will be able to run some of those games but will be SEVERLY limited by the Pentium. Can you wait any longer before buying other parts? and save more money?

Ive also considered just building a tower with a i5 7500 and adding a gpu later on when i could afford it.

Ryzen 3 specs still havent been announced but im not sure id buy one especially since you need a gpu to run those.

Thats a good idea..the same one that i had..but if your going to buy Intel then dont buy the same cpu thats a non-k but the same CPU such as the 7500K and 7500. Other than that I would build a good computer now and get a great GPU later

If you do go with used, and don't mind dead sockets (means intel doesnt make cpus for the socket anymore)... I'd recommend a i5-2400, 16/8GB of RAM , and a used OR NEW RX470/RX570 I'm pretty sure 580 bottlenecks. But with a i52400 and 470/570 you could go medium to high settings with your game.

Yeah ive done some searching on ebay, i5 3470's sell for around the same price of a pentium g4560

also looked at an i5 4400, they are going for around $110 and amazon has new h81 boards for around $45 but even then you're not saving a whole lot of money and its dated/used parts.

Looking like ill just have to invest in an i5 7500 tower and add the gpu later on
