Deepin Linux and Tar.GZ

(If this is not the right place to put this please let me know)

So I switched to Deepin linux on my laptop. It's a Debian based linux, but I can't get any tar.gz files to work. Take Toon Town Rewritten for example, I extract the folder from the archive, then when i go to run the launcher, I get prompted with a run box giving me the option to run or run in terminal. When I click run nothing happens, and when I click open with terminal, it opens a terminal window, with text, but the game wont launch. If anyone can help that would be great.

Have you tried unzipping from the terminal?

Want to know which mobo to get?

Spoiler

Choose whatever you need. Any more, you're wasting your money. Any less, and you don't get the features you need.

Only you know what you need to do with your computer, so nobody's really qualified to answer this question except for you.

yeah. I end up with the same results. I know this distro isn't widely known, so I doubt that anyone will be able to give any real in depth help.
