#Solved

So this error occurs everytime my bigbrother starts his computer. The eror came after he installed his new i7 3770k (from 3570k)  now we have tried to get it to work in about an hour or two. Im getting real tied and the same is my brother. Therefore i wanted to hear if any on the forum have had this eror before or know a way arround it.

This is what we have tried

1. Updated bios

2. Cleared cmos

3. Checked the cpu and cables

4. Used memok buttom

5. Tried to reset the monitor settings

6. Tried vga instead of dvi

The wied thing about it is that the computer starts without any erros and the Asus logo shows for 3 secounds and then it says 'no DVI signal detected'

This is his motherboard http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P8Z77M/

Could be the monitor, or the graphics card itself.

Are you sure you have the right graphics card drivers?

What happens when you boot?  Your system stays on I assume?

Just no picture?  And you've tried plugging into two SEPARATE monitors- neither works?

Correct input is selected on the monitor?

Try plug it in the on board graphics, does that work?

The cpu could be faulty, does it POST?

Try removing your graphics card and just using your onboard graphics, for the sake of trying to get a display and making it into the bios / OS.
