Desktop not responding occasionally?

Hello!

I've recently built my PC, and occasionally my desktop doesn't seem to respond. Whenever this happens, my alt tab also doesn't respond and the moment I go to type anything into google, it also doesn't respond. From there, everything starts to break down and not respond until I restart my computer, which as far as I know is the only way to solve it. I have no clue what the problem is, so does anyone know a way that I could fix this?
