HELP! USB 3 Port Broken?!

Go to solution Solved by NoRomanBatmansAllowed,

It should still work fine, just be a bit gentler with it next time. (Push it back down, if you can)

The problem you have essentially is just the force required to take the USB 3 cable out, and the quality of the soldering on the motherboard.

Want to know which mobo to get?

Choose whatever you need. Any more, you're wasting your money. Any less, and you don't get the features you need.

Only you know what you need to do with your computer, so nobody's really qualified to answer this question except for you.

Oh yeah, and don't do it too often either, because the stress could break the solder bonds.

Think of it like when you bend a piece of metal back and forth. The first few times, it still looks sturdy and all good. The next few times you see some stress marks, until the stress just lets the metal break in two.
