linksys e1000 constantly dropping wireless

Don't harp on me for using wireless only. Right now that's all I have. So I have a linksys/cisco E1000. Sometimes it has good days where it doesn't drop wireless all day, other days it drops every 5 minutes. I know I'm not being DDOSed as I have changed my ip adress and switched to razer comms. BTW it is running dd-wrt.

Now instead of fixing this old and frankly POS, I want to get myself a powerline ethernet adapter and a gigabit switch.

For the time being, I need to find a temporary fix. And no I did not boost my output power in dd-wrt. Its also not getting hot as its in a non-heated room that's like 50-60f.

Please help!
