Hello y'all

I have bought a new laptop and I am just now making an upgrade on the laptop by installing an SSD onto the system, I got Crucial M4 SSD 256 flavor and I got it with the upgrade kit now when I plug the drive and everything I'm able to detect the drive and go on it throught the USB connection I perform the AS SSD benchmark using the cable and everything just to prove both cable and SSD are actually working yet when I try to use the software to clone the HDD it doesnt do it instead it leave me hanging waiting for hours and nothing happens could some please give me some suggestion like alternative software or something I should know about the SSD?
