I'm about to replace my cpu and motherboard with newer and different cpu and motherboard and install them in my case. Is there anything I need to do before I do that or can I just swap and go. I heard I might be able to recover windows 10 or I'll have to buy a new key if worse came to worse.

You will need to do a 100% fresh install of windows. Different drivers etc.. you can cause numerous issues from just installing over old chipset drivers etc for a new motherboard.

Okay so I got to delete/uninstall all the  drivers. Anything else?

Clean install windows. That's all you've gotta do.
