Ahoy!

I'm having trouble with my Intel P600 M.2 SSD; It chokes with larger files. (Youtube clip for demonstration and description of problem here - The speed is constantly lower than it should be, but you can see that the progress bar sometimes just stops completely)

I found this problem when recording videos. As soon as the file size reached ~25 GB, the SSD would drop down to basically 0 mb/s, leaving me with a file which shows 8 frames per second. At first I thought it was a CPU or codec issue, but I found that the speed drops are comparable with the drive's benchmark inconsistencies.

I have tried updating the BIOS, looking for newer firmware, running Intel SSD Toolbox diagnostic (Shown here)... And nothing. Its SMART summary is perfect too (here)

Thanks for helping me out, or even just reading!

Not sure if this is your issue. But I've read somewhere that SSD's CAN get really slow when they are almost full. It's trying to look for pieces of empty space, to store data on. It's suggested that you don't fill up your SSD beyond 70-75% if you want the speed. Considering your drive is 90+% full, this might be your issue.

Google can give you some moar info on this.

Ah, I thought I had written it (said it out loud in the video, so that's probably why I thought I had written it down too) misunderstanding there. That's my other SSD. The one I'm referring to is the E drive at 500 GB.  Erm. No it's 90+% free. Not full ;P

I have 451 of 476 GB free, so that's not it.

Thanks for the reply though! :)
