Need help for a home networking solution

I have had some stability issues with my new ISP and I need to change some things. How it's now doesn't work.

Something to note is that they provided with their own modem/router that cannot be replaced, nor can I move it or even change wifi name/password, channels, set it to bridge mode myself and etc. It's really restricted unless I contact them.

2nd thing is that the TV box they provided has a built in router which does deliver wifi and has 4 LAN ports. Problem is that the tech support advice not to use it as a router and it should strictly be connected from the modem/router they provided. This is something that is true even though they false advertised for the box as they have promised it should deliver great wifi etc. I have had stability issues connecting from a different router that is in access point to the TV box. The TV box will vary in performance and the router that the TV box is connected from will be really unstable and the 2.4GHz on that router is simply trash. It's really weird how the 5GHz seems to be fine, but that's just how it is. It is also not recommended to connect cables from the TV box/router to other devices so basically I need to treat the TV box as only a TV box and it needs to be connected from their modem/router.

Other things is that I want as good wifi on both floors where on the 2nd floor I only need wifi where on the 1st floor I really need a router that delivers wifi and LAN ports.

I have made some options but I want your opinion on this or if there's another way. The "wifi access point" you see in the pictures is actually just an old access point I found it the house. It should do it's job and it's way more customizable than the ISP modem/router. Probably better too

Just ask question if there is something I haven't been clear about. I should also note that I use extenders because non of my cable is long enough to reach from the ISP modem/router to 1st floor. At this time I only have 1 extender but I could pick up some instead of actually buying a new router.

ok, there shouldnt be any need for a router to be in bridge mode. otherwise it cant do its job, 2nd point, if you have another wifi router on the tv box it could be that they are both on the same channel of wifi and seeing that the tv router is closer to the other router it is MUCH stronger signal compared to yours, best idea is to turn off the wifi on the tv box, you should get more than enough signal from the router if you are within its signal range (around 100 feet) . also there could be other wifi routers close to you sharing the same channel you are using, download a program called inssider, its free, and it will let you see what the wifi signals around you are doing.
