I have built my own computer 2 weeks ago but i didn't get a graphics card because the options there was a gtx 980 which was ~$330, but i was thinking I want to get GTX 1060 from ASUS because the color scheme will go well on my build. But i don't know if that is a good choice and i want your guys opinion on what should I get around $200. Preferably Nvidia because i want the Shadowplay feature.

Specs:

Intel Core i7-6700K

Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 8GB DDR4

Corsair CX750

Gigabyte GA-Z170-Gaming K3

The 980 and 1060 are very close in performance with the 1060 beating it slightly, by about 5-7% on average.

Which one should I get though? A newer architecture means that it is better or?

1060 6GB is overpriced IMO, you can pick up a 480 8GB that is on par for 200GBP easily

https://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Graphics+Cards/AMD+Radeon/Radeon+RX+480/ASUS+Radeon+RX480++STRIX+O.C.+8GB+Graphics+Card?productId=66439

Alternatively if you've got 100GBP extra you can get a dope R9 Fury X (slower than 1070)

https://www.amazon.co.uk/GIGABYTE-Fury-Graphics-Card-PCI-E/dp/B010BNA4NS/ref=sr_1_2?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1490165190&sr=1-2&keywords=r9+fury

Or for around 360-370 you can pick up a 1070

idk

Recommend the amd RX 480 since it's the same performance and cheaper. AMD also has a video capturing software called relive, it's also been tested and  seems to be on the same quality as shadowplay.

Like @Droidbot already said, get the R9 Fury. It's best for the price or you can save some money and get the GTX 1070 instead (keep in mind is around £370+).

Fury isnt that much cheaper, it's still 330 for a FuryX or 300 for a standard fury without that dank watercooler

idk
