Hello to all,

It's my first time on this forum and I've come here in search of your expert help.

I'm preparing my first watercool build for a new computer. I've selected most of the parts but I have one more element to choose : my second rad.

First of all the waterloop I'm planing to build is a very standard one. 1 CPU block + 1 GPU block, 1 pump/Reservoir combo, 1 240 rad + 1 280 rad.

All of this installed in a Fractal Design Node 804.

For the 280 rad I've selected the Alphacool NexXxoS monsta 280 and now I'm looking for a 240 rad with this specifications :

Full copper (so if possible no brass)

Low FPI (<=14)

Low restriction

max 30mm thick (slim rad)

I'm pretty sure a rad like that exists but I wasn't able to find one.

Many thx for your help

Folky

Your best option is to get a similar rad from Alphacool. Reason is you want to avoid mixing metals so if you get from the same company, they are going to be using the same materials, generally speaking, so this should be a non issue.

Something like this will be what you want. http://www.performance-pcs.com/alphacool-nexxxos-st30-industry-hpc-series-240mm-radiator.html#Specifications

It has a slightly higher FPI than what you want, 16, but its your best bet to get imo.

Thx for the answer.

Your comment made me think a little differently and I've come to change my choice of graphic card to an EVGA GTX 1060 instade of the long 1070.
So this way I may be able to install an alphacool 240 monsta rad.

Now my next task and question is to find what CG full waterblock that is in copper and has a low flow restriction available for this model.

Any Idea ?

Thx a lot for the help

Honestly, water cooling a 1060 is not worth it money wise... If you are looking for a small 1070, you could get this

I know alphacool has a cooler for this model but I don't know if this version is better then what extremerigs.net said about an other model : http://www.xtremerigs.net/2015/04/03/alphacool-nexxxos-gpx-gtx-980-m02-with-backplate-review/all/1/

these results are really mediocre

EK, Koolance is doing a universal block but i would like to have VRM and RAM cool to (at least passif cooling) what do you think about it ?
