Astro A40TR PC issue

So I just bought the Astro A40TR PC headset and the mic isn't working at all.

I tried both rear and front IO and there's no difference.

I currently have the MSI Z170A Gaming M3 which has onboard audio.

Any suggestion on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.
