Playstation 2 connecting

I want to connect my ps2 to my monitor and play it but i got one of these adaptors as you can see in the picture but my ps2 isnt displaying? how do i get this to work?

That adaptor is likely a one way VGA to Composite, Not the other way around. Find a converter (Probably active and requires power) that actually advertises Composite to VGA.

The PlayStation 2 only officially supported VGA through that damn version of Linux that was released for it.

Your best bet is either purchasing a set of composite (or S-video) or component cables for it and buy a composite/component to VGA adapter to actually use it.

Those only work for specialized devices which have TV output capability from a VGA port. It won't work on just anything. Likely you're using the wrong direction too, that's for VGA output device to a Composite/S-Video TV, not the other way around.
