Need a new display

So my LG Flattron W2452TQT just died.  The power button had been bring up the display menu and when I turned it on today it must have shorted so its dead.  Anyway it was a 24" and now I want find one better then that one was, which I am sure is not to hard since it is more then 5 years old.  I think I would like to an Ultra Wide monitor of at least 24' for gaming/watching netflix.  I dont want a curved one because I watch and play stuff from my chair and my bed.  I have a amd Radeon R9 380 video card but and hoping to get a new card with a new computer this year or next, so I may get an amd or nvidia card soonish.  Frankly I would like a monitor that can make my games look as nice and my friends on their nice 60' TVs.  I have only about 600 to spend so I cant just buy the best RoG monitor there is.  I would like some help because there are just so many monitors and I don't really know what ones for the price range are even good.

 

So in short

  • Have amd Radeon R9 380 video card
  • Larger then 24'
  • Better then 1920x1200
  • non curved
  • good for gaming
  • around 600
