Hey there!

I'm planning to upgrade to Ryzen soon when it releases. But I need DDR4 memory. I can't afford to shell out £100+ on 16GB of memory (that's what I need) and can't find much that's new and is under £100. Except I found something on eBay.

Someone is selling Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) at 2400MHz for £50. The memory has been used for about 6 months, though. Is it ok buying used memory? Or could it potentially die out quickly? The seller has listed the memory as 'Used as new' (Whatever that means).

I just need to know if purchasing used memory is a good idea, thanks!

Should be fine. I have yet to see a memory stick die, and I have dropped one down the stairs before.

As long as they are not a scammer, should be okay... I just sold that same thing, just 8gb used for about 9 months, works as good as new.

They have 100% feedback but only 1 item.

I doubt its a buy-it-now for £50 as thats way too cheap, even m y 16gb ddr3 vengeance is worth more than that xD

if its auction don't get your hopes up that it'll stay at £50.

It's a Buy it Now. They are selling it because they've used it and need an upgrade.

Now that we're talking about 8GB of memory. Is that enough for playing games and recording/editing/rendering?
