So I have an r9 280x with an h55 but I dont know what I should do because the places to mount the radiator above the gpu wont work because the tubing isnt long enough and the front mounting wont work because there is a hard drive cage preventing me from putting the radiator there. The only options are to mount it on the bottom or on the side, but on the side there isnt enough clearance for both the card and the fan so I would have to mount it on the outside and because of the grill I dont know how much the cooling performance would be degraded. If I mount it on the bottom, There is very little airflow as I am putting it on the ground (the case would lift a little bit above the ground so there would be some airflow) but the fan would be on the radiator. which should I do?

Can you route the tubing over the gpu and mount the rad where the white back fan is?

No, theyre too short. I really did try to make it work but I felt that if I stressed it any more the lack of slack on the tubing may decrease the life span of the liquid cooler

I personally would mount it on the bottom, I hate mounting stuff on the side panels as is it makes taking the side panel off a pain. That gpu cooler is simply a liquid assisted peice (the memory and VRMs are still being cooled by air) so the amount of heat shouldn't be too severe for the limited air flow.

Ok thank you, Ill just use a pull configuration with a good static pressure fan, as heat obviously wouldnt be able to escape from the bottom of the case, and make sure to clean it often.
