Hi, a few days ago i endend my mini-itx build based on an
i5 7600 + hyper 212 evo
MSI b250 Wifi
Corsair CX550M
MSI 480Gtx

I built this pc to be dead silent "at least when not gaming" and i'm kinda satisfied about that, despite a low constant and annoying noise.

I'm not sure where it's coming from, seems the motheboard under the gpu, or the gpu itself "but i removed the supply from the gpu w/out difference and i don't think that the pci lane can provied enought fuel to make that noise".
This is not coil whine, it's not a high pitched noise, it's low, like an old buzzing lamp

"Like this but much more quiter and slower https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6s468L88Y2Y

Is there something i can do ? This build could be dead silent except for this noise that's driving me crazy :C

Try fully removing the GPU, see if that fixes it.

I did it, and i'm 99% sure the noise was still there.

99 is not 100, try it again and record it.

It's like 99.99% , i'm tempted to say that it was a little bit quiter "even if it makes no sense to me" but definitely the noise was still there.

It takes 3 seconds to remove the GPU, if you want help try doing that and see if the noise is still there.

I wasn't clear, sorry.
I ALREADY tried to remove the card, i wasn't 100% sure about the result since the noise was clearly still audible but probably "and here came from the 0.1% of dubt" a little less annoying.

I'm sorry, but GTX 480s run very hot and noisy.

The card is dead silent, very quiet even during game actually :/

The low consistent noise may come from your Power Supply Fan. It could also be coil whine, can you maybe make a sound recording?

The psu was my first idea, but i don't think that it came from the psu i spend a lot of minutes with my ear around the case, expecially psu and gpu/
My phone isn't enought sensible to record it for more than a sec, i'll try tomorrow with a different one.

Edit: You know what ? It MAY seems to came from the bottom of the psu, right where the fan is located, i'll check better tomorrow morning !
