Logitech g700 scrolling issue

Hello, I am a long time lurker but this is my first post and I have a problem with my trusty old g700. The mouse continuously sends a scroll down signal (sometimes up) to my laptop (I have checked with several computers). I was using XMouseButtonControll to disable the scrolling it but it doesn't work reliably and it also stops me from using my laptop touchpad's scroll. I think this forum is the best place to ask so here I am. Is there anything I can do to continue to use the mouse? Any ideas are appreciated.
