Posted January 9, 2017 So I tried to save a file onto my desktop today and just quickly typed "asdf" as the name and it instead opened up into a folder and was waiting for me to still name the file to put into the folder. I went onto CMD and went to C:\users\porter\desktop and typed "dir" and "asdf" wasn't in the directory. Then I went to "cd asdf" and it went to "C:\users\porter\desktop\asdf".... I hit "dir" on \asdf and it says "Volume in drive C is Samsung 840 pro: local Disk volume suerial number is xxxx-xxx Directory of \asdf File not found" I also typed to "del asdf" and it says it could not find file Whats up with this? Am I missing something? Link to comment https://linustechtips.com/topic/720220-asdf-on-my-desktop/ Share on other sites
 Posted January 9, 2017 Author Well I saved a picture into this asdf folder and then I was able to delete the whole folder but if any of you can shed a light as to why this folder is there but doesn't show I would still like to know so I can see anything else that is hidden Link to comment https://linustechtips.com/topic/720220-asdf-on-my-desktop/#findComment-9169717 Share on other sites
