I'm new here so...

Hey all!

I'm new here, so I'll start posting random things - cool. Isn't it?

Nah. It wouldn't be cool, so I try to stick to my Title:

I'm into building a black and white 1080p (maybe 1440p later some time) gaming rig, that'll light up in all colours that I tell it too, as soon as I use my ASUS Aura on it.

As well it should be as quiet as possible and from the sheer facts it should be around 38 db when it's under heavy load, right?

So here's what I've came up with:

https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/WVpCCy

Obviously the Asus Z170 Gaming / AURA is the heart around the Strix and the cases' LEDs.

Theoretically the Strix should be at 0 noise as long as it's idling or as long as it's cooler than 50-60 degrees (depends on how I set it to in MSI Afterburner / CAM (by NZXT) or... you name it), as well the PSU should be quiet (pun intended) as possible. The CPU cooler shouldn't be louder than 25 db at under heavy load so... holy mother of cooling, that one is quiet!

The RAM might be overkill, but their looks are overkill as well. :D

My only concern is the CPU cooler, so if I want to OC at some point a bit more than just 300 - 400 MHZ I might need a bigger cooler.. but there's this high profile ram...

Is there any non AIO Watercooler that will provide me enough cooling and RAM clearance, to overclook my CPU seriously ?

What do you guys think  at all about that build?

Feedback is very welcome!

Best greetings from Germany,

Marco

Hi wilkommen zu unser community

also, es wurd fur derr RAM und CPU besser sein das do ein AIO cooler benutzt, they generally offer the most ram clearance and overclocking headroom and you can get some pretty niffty rgb ones out there. ii also think you meen 3 GHZ (3000ish MHz, ocd) otherwise, ein geiles rig :D

Ich habe auce der gleiche GPU und es sieht toll aus!!

I suppose the main problem is the cost of that AIO, corsair and cooler master offten offer reasonably priced ones, like thee Corsair h105 or h100 GTX just to name a few 240mm, they come in 120-140 24-280mm which your case should handle.

Viel spass damit und nochmal Wilkommen zu LTT

Hey,

thanks for your warm welcome! :)

I thought about the new NZXT x62, but I don't know how loud the fans with it and the radiator it self's are. Also I was to dumb to find these specific specs ^^'

Best,

Marco

Best,

The radiator itself doesnt make a noiise, and most times aio fans don't need to run that fast and are often quiet, usually quieter than most air coolers, also you can always pick up your own fans for the radiator like corsair mag-levs or something to make it run even quieter.
