hdmi splitter compatibility

I bought a 4k tv lg 49uh6500 and i have another basic grundig hd tv 720p and i use smartbox hdmi port. Now i want to buy a hdmi splitter but i read somewhere that output resolution should be same or some thing dont remember exactly. So question is does this splitter works? 'hdmi splitter aliexpress' also this splitter should strip hdcp so its future proof. sorry for bad english and thank you for your time
