so my pc did it twice now, locks up completely or blackscreens. (w7)

then when i boot up my pc it either boots into bios, or i can see the windows flag loading and then it freezes completetly again.

now heres ther weird part, when i finally get into the bios, if i set my core clock and Core Voltage manually it boots up fine again.

any ideas?

So the system isn't overclocked on a day to day? It's normally seet to auto and you just let it turbo boost? You were manually setting it to STOCK clock and volts?

Just trying to get abit more info, cause it sounds like a failed OC.

normally its running with turbo boost on with 4790k, and it goes to 4.4ghz and 1.28V

this chip does 4ghz at 1.1V stock, so now i set the bios to 4ghz and 1.2V so enouh voltage but not so much it would crash the system.

Perhaps run a stability test and monitor the temperatures. This sounds really strange.

temps are fine 100%, il let some stres tests run over night, il report back if it survives lol
