Evolution/Next step for thefloatplaneclub

Hey everyone!

 

So I've been a big fan on LMG videos on Vessel and thefloatplaneclub sounds like a great idea like explained in the WAN video.

 

So I took all of the ideas posted by Linus on the original post and made a quick design from it. Is this the end goal for thefloatplaneclub? Is there a timeline or a set of next steps?

 

Tell me what you think, but I would really like to have a proper site other than YouTube, something that accommodates the sponsors, conversations, links and information about the hardware shown, etc.

Hey TechnoFou,

The end goal of FloatPlaneClub is to be, eventually, a totally separate platform from the forum, but we still want to provide floatplane access to the forum contributors like you without paying an extra fee. It *MIGHT* contain extra contents from other channels, but that's not in the short term, but we still need to plan the design in case we need to go that route.

Some of your ideas are really interesting and I will definitely add them to the idea bucket :
- Sponsors DIV
- Live chat

The design itself is simple and nice, but in some way, it doesn't represent the style that we want to give to FloatPlane. There's some things that are too much borrowed from Youtube style like the logo (header) and favicon, but there only x way we can do a design for a VOD or streaming plateform.

If you would like to participate in the UX developpment, it might be possible. But I make no promise.

So overall,
I like it, but not really the style we are looking for. The disposition is top notch and interesting.
Rating : 8/10 (Lost a point because Fudge cannot be found in the design)

Sure! This was just a design exercise for fun with no idea of what the actual plan is  If I can help, just give me a sign!

Hi Guys!

After I started a similar topic I found this, so I thought I might drop by and add to the idea bucket. My idea would be to bring this to Kodi so it is very easy and convenient for people to get access to it. Also, can ordinary people (not forum devs or anything) with programming, design and other skills help out somehow?
