So I just recently got an SSD that I reinstalled windows on, I was using a normal ole' HDD. So everything is up and running now without any issues, expect for when I try to install a xbox one/360 controller. When it tried to install, it will continuously disable/enable my headset or mouse until the "install" is complete. Ultimately it ends with this error. (gotta go to device manager to see it). "This device cannot start (Code 10)"

I've looked for the drivers online and I can't find anything, I've tried updating drivers and still, nothing.

However, when I boot off the old HHD (I kept windows on it just in case) the controllers work just fine.

Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Just now, anybodykek said:

Could it coincidentally be a problem with the USB port or front panel header? Try using a USB port on the motherboard I/O. And your console should come with a proper driver disc.

I'm not sure. I've tried every port possible, still, nothing. Also worth mention I suppose, every other USB device I have works just fine.

I have the disc but I don't have an optical drive
