Hey guys,

So this is the final revision of my rig before I order the parts. Planning on keeping the case and WiFi adapter for a while, will replace the GPU with GTX 1080ti when it comes out and CPU with a cannonlake i7 when it comes out as well (as you might have guessed this is a intended to be a work in progress build with a decent system now upgrading select components over the next 5 years or so before I have to restart from scratch). Tell me what you think.

In terms of a solid base build to upgrade upon, it's alright. You need a higher watt PSU, maybe 550-700 if you plan on getting an i7 and 1080. That wifi card is expensive. You should add a 120GB or 250GB SSD for the OS to make the entire system more snappy. More RAM can be added later, if the motherboard has 4 slots get 2x4 now and then add another 2x4 later. The i5-6500's stock cooler does a good enough job to cool it, no need for aftermarket thermal paste. Get a better monitor too, at least 1080p 144Hz (around $200).

Yeah I intend to upgrade the Mobo/RAM to match the new specs, just not sure what exactly I'll get. If I get into professional game streaming/videos I'll probably go for a more high end Mobo, new display, 32 GB DDR4 3200 Cas 14 Ram, and maybe another GPU for SLI. If not, probably just upgrade the CAS/RAM Speed still at 16GB and a mid-range Mobo  just to boost the  specs.

Alright so I replaced the monitor with one $80 more but 144hz 1080p 1ms. Also selected a cheaper wireless adapter  and cut out the thermal paste. I already posses a few SSDs/HDDs  from previous laptops/computers (not amazing but they'll work till I upgrade them in the late spring early summer).
