Maximus VIII Ranger - Slow POST

Hi everyone,

 

I recently upgraded to a new machine (after the PSU of my five-year old one said goodbye) with the following specs:

 

- ASUS Maximus VIII Ranger

- i7-6700k

- KFA2 GTX 1080
- 32 GB RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V 2133 MHz - 2 x 16 GB
- Samsung PM961 M.2 PCIe3 x4 256 GB

 

Overall it runs really well (and finally allows me to play Mankind Divided without crashing) - the only thing that bothers me is the slow boot time of about 30 seconds. Currently, the POST takes most of the chunk with around 15 seconds (plus the UEFI screen for like 5) while the rest of the way is quite fast.

 

Fast Boot is enabled, so is MRC fastboot, while CSM is disabled and POST Delay is on 0 seconds. However, when I first got the rig, CSM was on UEFI&Legacy.

 

Does anybody know a way to speed up the process? My old one used to boot up much faster, which is bugging me a little.
