Apparently, the PS4 Pro is pretty impressive. It's 4k Upscale Tech gets pretty close to Native 4k, especially when sitting further from the TV. Overall since its based on a slightly weaker RX 480 I am pretty impressed with how it can compete with Mid Range PCs and High End PCs when great optimization is done. Especially since its only $400. I might just be picking up one of these this Holiday season for its exclusives.

It's upscaling is ok, but framerates are shit

It has no-where near the power of the 480, and only 1/2 the core clock.

It is only really a cheapo 1080p console, with a $25 extra added in to make is seem better than it is, to trick stupid console peasents into buying it for '4k gaming' to realise its terrible upscaled 30fps 1080p

Digital Foundry would disagree with you.

i hear that my favorite game of all time is going to be in 4k (the last of us) but it'll be in 30 fps. http://wccftech.com/last-of-us-remastered-native-4k-30fps-ps4-pro/   I think that it'll still have settings turned down but at that resolution I don't really think most console gamers will notice the difference.

I really want to play the Last of Us. My PS3 was my last console and it died before I could play it. I did not get the PS4 as at the time I was pretty big into hating on Consoles. So now that its going to be 4k and is considered one of the best games of all time I will have to get it. As long as it is a consistent 30fps I will be fine.

ITS NOT FREAKING 4K

ITS 30FPS UPSCALED 1080P

AND UNLESS YOU HAVE A FREAKING 4K TV, YOU WILL NOTICE NO DIFFERENCE, EXCEPT THE AMOUNT OF MONEY IN YOUR WALLET

Tbh, im not surpised you think its 4K.

If you like consoles, then that explains everything

do you have any links? I'm sure that's the case but hell I'd like to believe haha. I honestly don't think a console at that price point could output 4k but all games are different and I don't know how well or how bad the last of us runs. Some games can be ran at 4k. Like i can run alien isolation at 4k with an rx480. I'm just not sure.

well wait for it to release and have a technical analysis on whether it's up-scaled or native. I want to see innovation and see if sony can take their heads out of their asses and actually provide what they are claiming. and 4k monitors are not that expensive dude.

Hilarious justification of an inferior product.

"It looks OK if you sit further back from the screen!"

Since when has upscaling EVER been a good thing?

hahahahahahhaha

It is 4K native on a several titles.  Others have been testing the 4K and have shown the image quality is very close to native in some games.  It's literally been tested by smarter people than you. TBH you sound like a child. Also 4K monitors are pretty cheap. I got my 70inch Vizio with HDR for like $1300.

anyways the superiority of PC was never In question. You can do much more on a PC and have the most options when it comes to gaming. What impresses me is the performance of the PS4 Pro and how far upscaling tech has come. It's only $400 and can do quite a lot,
